JIMDI Plastics was founded in 1997. It was formed to produce a proprietary part used in the agricultural industry with anticipation of doing custom injection molding for other customers.

JIMDI Plastics leased a 6,000 square foot facility in Jenison, MI. It started with 5 presses. They ranged from 80 Ton to 700 Ton. JIMIDI Plastics had approximately 15 employees on staff.

Over the first 3-4 years of business JIMID Plastics enjoyed rapid growth. The agricultural business was very good. JIMDI Plastics obtained new customers during this time such as Knape & Vogt and Warmington Industries.

In November of 2001 JIMDI Plastics had completed construction of a new 25,600 square foot facility located in Allendale, MI.

After moving in the new facility JIMDI Plastics was awarded work from more customers one of the largest being Global Concepts. Global Concepts is a supplier to Herman Miller.
